Ranbir Kapoor's 2-Year Ram Devotion for Epic Role

Ranbir Kapoor has shared the extensive two-year preparation undertaken to portray Lord Ram in the upcoming "Ramayana" film. This ambitious project is slated to be a two-part global cinematic event. Kapoor prioritized understanding Lord Ram's philosophy deeply, stating this was more crucial than physical transformation.

His preparation involved reading extensively, consulting scholars, and practicing yoga for two years under a guru's guidance. This immersive approach aimed to connect with Lord Rama's teachings, focusing on simplicity and relatability for all ages. The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, stars Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, with a worldwide IMAX release planned.

The first part of "Ramayana" is scheduled for release during Diwali 2026, with the second part following in Diwali 2027. Produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash's Monster Mind Creations, the film also features Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
