Ranbir Kapoor to Play Dual Roles in 'Ramayana'

Ranbir Kapoor will embody two divine characters, Lord Ram and Lord Parshuram, in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming epic 'Ramayana.' This confirmation follows the release of the film's captivating teaser, which offered a glimpse of Kapoor as Lord Ram. The actor shared his excitement about playing two avatars of Lord Vishnu, noting the spiritual and emotional depth required to differentiate the characters.

Kapoor's portrayal of Lord Ram carries significant responsibility, representing a personal faith and belief system. This marks his second foray into dual roles, having previously played a double part in the 2022 film 'Shamshera.' The ambitious 'Ramayana' project, also starring Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, is slated for release on Diwali 2026, with its subsequent part planned for Diwali 2027.
