Spread across 2,000 acres, Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad holds the Guinness World Record for the largest film studio complex globally. Established in 1996, it has become a premier destination for cinema, adventure, and entertainment, attracting approximately 1.5 million visitors each year.
Local folklore suggests the land was once a battlefield during the Nizams' rule, where many soldiers lost their lives. These tales have fueled persistent rumors of hauntings and unexplained phenomena within the complex.
Numerous reports describe eerie occurrences, including lights inexplicably turning off, perceived pushes in empty sets, and equipment falling unexpectedly. Hotel guests have also reported hearing footsteps in vacant corridors and doors locking by themselves.
While these ghost stories contribute to its mystique, there is no official proof of hauntings. Many believe the atmosphere of the vast studio, with its numerous film sets, fuels the imagination.
Beyond the spooky tales, Ramoji Film City boasts extensive film sets, including those from the 'Baahubali' films, guided studio tours, spectacular live entertainment like stunt shows and dance performances, and the thrilling Sahas Adventure Park.
