In 2025, the renowned British dance company Rambert is preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary with a special tour of China. The company's subsidiary, RTS Entertainment, will be presenting the stage adaptation of the popular TV series "Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby" to Chinese audiences next year.
The dance-theater production, which follows the Shelby family from the World War I battlefields to the post-war landscape of Birmingham, was written by the show's creator, Steven Knight, and choreographed by Rambert's artistic director, Benoit Swan Pouffer. The live performance will feature original music composed by Roman GianArthur, as well as songs by artists like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Radiohead, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
