Production on the ambitious Ramayana film franchise is steadily progressing, with shooting for Part 2 now commenced. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is heavily reliant on visual effects, with much of the current indoor filming dedicated to precision visual elements. The team recently revealed the first look of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama.
Post-production for Ramayana: Part 1 is currently underway, with a significant focus on VFX created by the renowned studio DNEG. Simultaneously, the production has advanced to shooting Part 2. The film features a star-studded cast including Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Yash as Ravana.
The epic is set for a two-part release. Ramayana: Part 1 is scheduled to hit cinemas for Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 expected in 2027, promising a fresh cinematic interpretation of Valmiki's ancient epic.
