Production on the ambitious Ramayana film franchise is steadily progressing, with shooting for Part 2 now commenced. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is heavily reliant on visual effects, with much of the current indoor filming dedicated to precision visual elements. Post-production for Ramayana: Part 1 is currently underway, with a significant focus on VFX created by the renowned studio DNEG. Simultaneously, the production has advanced to shooting Part 2. The film features a star-studded cast including Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Yash as Ravana.
The epic is set for a two-part release. Ramayana: Part 1 is scheduled to hit cinemas for Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 expected in 2027, promising a fresh cinematic interpretation of Valmiki's ancient epic.
