Summary
- Upcoming film Andhra King Taluka not a dark thriller like Fan
- Explores the "most beautiful relationship" between star and fan
- Film stays grounded in the journey of a true admirer
Ahead of the release of his upcoming film Andhra King Taluka, actor Ram Pothineni has clarified that the movie is not a dark psychological thriller like the 2016 film Fan starring Shah Rukh Khan. Instead, Andhra King Taluka is an emotional exploration of the "most beautiful relationship" between a star and their devoted admirer.
When the film's tagline "biopic of a fan" was first revealed, it sparked comparisons to Fan. However, Ram Pothineni emphasizes that his film takes a different approach, focusing on the pure, unconditional love and devotion of a true fan rather than portraying the fan as a villain or exploring a mere friendship.
Directed by Mahesh Babu Pachigolla, Andhra King Taluka features Ram as a devoted admirer of Kannada star Upendra. Unlike Fan, which presented a dual narrative with the actor playing both the superstar and his fan, this film stays grounded in the personal journey of the admirer and what that devotion means to him.
