Actor Ram Charan is progressing well in his recovery from a wrist injury, having undergone a planned procedure on September 26, 2026, to remove casts and rods from his right wrist at Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore. This follows an earlier surgery in July to address a triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) tear.
The injury occurred during physically demanding sequences for the film 'Peddi'. Ram Charan also previously experienced an eyelid injury while shooting in Hyderabad.
He is now set to begin an 8-10 week physiotherapy regimen to regain wrist strength and mobility. His return to film sets is contingent on medical clearance, with a potential resumption of shooting expected after mid-November.
Following his recovery, Ram Charan is slated to begin his next project with director Sukumar, reuniting after their success with 'Rangasthalam'. The film, RC17, has been in development since 2024, with Devi Sri Prasad composing the music.
