Fear and Faith Collide in Karnataka Crime Thriller

A new crime thriller series, Rakshasa, will premiere on February 20, featuring seven episodes. The narrative unfolds by a river in rural North Karnataka, where alleged crocodile attacks near a temple initiate a complex investigation. As local folklore begins to sway public opinion, Sub-Inspector Hanmappa finds himself embroiled in a disturbing psychological puzzle.

This investigation forces Hanmappa to confront not only the nature of the crime but also the deep-seated faith and fear influencing the community. Directed by Suhan Prasad and starring Vijay Raghavendra, the series explores the conflict between duty and belief. Tharun Sudheer, the producer, noted the series' unsettling and rooted atmosphere, emphasizing its unique setting and psychological depth.
