Rajinikanth's Influence and the Power of Authenticity: Sakshi Agarwal's Candid Revelations

In October 2025, actress Sakshi Agarwal reflects on her remarkable journey from the corporate world to the cinematic spotlight. Sakshi explains that her transition into the film industry was a gradual process, as she felt a deep connection the moment she faced the camera for the first time. "The moment I faced the camera for the first time, something within me switched on. I realised this was a space where I didn't have to fit into any mould -- I could simply be myself," she shares.

Sakshi's path has not been without its challenges, as she was told she looked too "North Indian" in the South and too "South Indian" in the North. However, she eventually realized that her craft, not her region, was what mattered most. "I'm an Indian actor -- my craft speaks, not my region. It took time to stop shape-shifting for approval. Authenticity, I learnt, is the real rebellion," she says.

One experience that left a lasting impact on Sakshi was working with the legendary Rajinikanth in the 2018 film "Kaala." She explains, "Working with Rajinikanth sir in Kaala (2018) stayed with me not because of screen time but because of the impact. Sharing space with him changed me -- his discipline, humility, and presence left a deep imprint, especially since I shot for about 55 days."
