Rajinikanth recently shared a compelling account of Amitabh Bachchan's arduous journey through a significant financial crisis. At the peak of his career, Bachchan's venture into business with ABCL reportedly led to debts amounting to roughly ₹90 crores. According to Rajinikanth, Bachchan was compelled to sell properties, including his Juhu home, to address these obligations.
During a difficult phase, Bachchan faced widespread mockery from the Bombay film industry. However, he demonstrated remarkable determination by working 18 hours a day for three years, despite numerous health challenges. Rajinikanth highlighted Bachchan's strength, noting he not only cleared all debts but also repurchased his former home and acquired two more properties on the same lane, a testament to his resilience.
This period of overcoming adversity came before their reunion for the 2024 film Vettaiyan.
