Rajeev Khandelwal recently shared an amusing and embarrassing anecdote from his early days in the entertainment industry. While appearing on the show 'Tum Ho Naa' with his long-time friend Anita Hassanandani, Khandelwal recounted an incident from his first industry party in Mumbai. He confessed to feeling overwhelmed and nervous, admitting he left Hassanandani alone on the dance floor after only 20 seconds of dancing.

Khandelwal explained that coming from a small town, he wasn't accustomed to such social settings. He described Hassanandani approaching him warmly, which only increased his anxiety, leading him to excuse himself abruptly. The next day, he learned the incident had become a topic of conversation. Hassanandani, who had forgotten the event, joined in the laughter as the story resurfaced.

During the nostalgic conversation, Hassanandani also recalled Khandelwal's immense popularity during his television career, referring to him as the 'National Crush' of the era. Khandelwal modestly attributed his widespread appeal to the characters he played rather than his personal charm.
