Rajeev Khandelwal revisits cherished Ahmedabad memories

Khandelwal is currently in Ahmedabad to host 'Vande Bharatam,' an initiative by Gautam Adani designed to identify and nurture entrepreneurial talent across India.

Khandelwal, known for his work in television and films, expressed excitement about hosting 'Vande Bharatam,' describing it as a departure from the typical glamour of his industry. He views it as a unique challenge and a world he is eager to explore. He also reflected on his past decision to step away from daily soaps at the peak of his popularity, stating it stemmed from a desire to experiment and grow as an artist rather than merely follow a predetermined path.

Discussing the evolving media landscape, Khandelwal noted the significant shift towards OTT platforms and changing audience viewing patterns. He observed that while the industry has adapted with new opportunities, the emphasis on business models sometimes overshadows creative pursuits. He finds the expansion of OTT, particularly the rise of verticals or micro-dramas, to be a remarkable development, acknowledging the reality of reduced attention spans in today's audience. Khandelwal also shared his personal sanctuary, a home in Goa where he practices organic farming and enjoys rejuvenating outdoor activities, contrasting it with the confines of city life.
