In a recent event, acclaimed director S.S. Rajamouli has disclosed details about an extraordinary sequence he shot for the upcoming film 'Varanasi', starring Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Rajamouli, who has a deep fascination for the Ramayana and Mahabharata, revealed that he unexpectedly found himself filming an important Ramayana-inspired episode for the movie.

The director shared that he experienced goosebumps when he first saw Mahesh Babu dressed as Lord Rama for a photoshoot. The sequence, which took 60 days to complete, proved to be a significant challenge, as each sub-episode within the larger sequence was like a film in itself, requiring fresh planning. However, Rajamouli and his team overcame the obstacles and successfully captured what the director believes will be one of the most memorable sequences in his illustrious filmography.
