28 Apr
Summary
- Film sold nearly 13K tickets for day one in advance bookings.
- Over 750 shows are scheduled in Maharashtra alone.
- Marathi version drives impressive pre-sales, hinting at a massive opening.

Riteish Deshmukh's directorial venture, "Raja Shivaji," is experiencing a strong start at the Indian box office, primarily through its Marathi advance bookings. The film, which arrives in theaters on Friday, May 1st, has already secured approximately 12,900 tickets for its opening day.
Maharashtra is leading the charge, with over 750 of the nearly 800 total shows scheduled within the state. The advance sales for the Marathi version alone have been exceptional, contributing to a gross collection of 33.1 lakh rupees so far. This surge in pre-sales suggests "Raja Shivaji" could achieve the biggest opening day for a Marathi film.
The historical action drama, also starring Sanjay Dutt and Abhishek Bachchan, is produced by Genelia D'Souza and Jyoti Deshpande. Directed by Deshmukh, this marks his second directorial effort after "Ved."
