Rainbow Six Tactics: Non-Lethal Playthrough Impossible
28 Aug
Summary
- Rainbow Six Tactics will not allow for a 100% non-lethal completion.
- Some missions necessitate enemy elimination due to range limitations.
- Non-lethal takedowns are incentivized for valuable intel bonuses.

Ubisoft's new single-player game, Rainbow Six Tactics, will not permit players to achieve a completely non-lethal playthrough. Game director Martial Potron confirmed that while the game incentivizes non-lethal takedowns for valuable intel, some missions will absolutely require lethal force.
Potron explained that certain mission objectives or map designs, such as enemies being on the opposite side of a river, will make non-lethal approaches impossible. Although most scenarios reward players for subduing enemies, a few will demand eliminations due to range limitations. Therefore, a 100% non-lethal game completion is not feasible.
The game, a turn-based tactics experience featuring 15 unique Operators, is set to launch in 2027. Players will strategize through various mission types, including hostage rescue, bomb disposal, and target elimination, with a strong emphasis on tactical decision-making.
