Berlin-based Picture Tree International is handling international sales for "Raging Moms," an ensemble comedy from the acclaimed production company behind "Weekend Rebels" and "Welcome to Germany."
"Raging Moms" will premiere for buyers at the American Film Market, with Leonine Studios slated for a German theatrical release on January 21, 2027. The film centers on four women who, experiencing menopause and empty nests, decide to stop being reasonable and make increasingly reckless choices.
Their lives are upended as they abandon familiar roles, leading to comedic collisions and a celebration of friendship amidst the messy process of starting over. The ensemble cast includes Laura Tonke, Heike Makatsch, Katharina Marie Schubert, and Anne Ratte-Polle, with supporting roles from Tom Schilling, Christoph Maria Herbst, and Trystan Pütter.
Sonja Heiss, who earned a German Film Award nomination for Best Director for "When Will It Be Again Like It Never Was Before," both wrote and directed "Raging Moms." The film is a Wiedemann & Berg Film production, supported by various German film funds.
Picture Tree International's market slate also features a remastered "The Experiment" and Constantin Film's "The Perfect Holiday." Previews of the Uruguayan thriller "Matarifes - Hunger for Change" and the Swedish tech satire "Push the Button" will also be available.
