Blind Side Star Quinton Aaron Hospitalized After Spinal Stroke

Quinton Aaron, who gained fame for his role in the 2009 film 'The Blind Side,' is currently hospitalized following a spinal stroke. His family confirmed on Thursday that he is alert, aware, and showing signs of recovery, expressing gratitude for the public's support and prayers.

The actor's manager initially reported he was on life support due to a severe blood infection. However, the family clarified the specific diagnosis as a spinal stroke, which led to his hospitalization in Atlanta, Georgia. Aaron reportedly lost control of his legs while ascending stairs to his apartment, resulting in a fall.

This health incident occurs after Aaron's significant 200lb weight loss, which he revealed in October 2025. He had been inspired to improve his health after diagnoses of congestive heart failure in 2020 and diabetes in 2021.

In March 2025, Aaron had previously been hospitalized after coughing up blood and experiencing a fever, with doctors suspecting flu and pneumonia. His journey includes overcoming a serious upper respiratory infection in 2019 and previously battling weight issues, at one point weighing 575 pounds.
