Queen's Corgis Lived Lavishly: Prince Harry Reveals All

Prince Harry has shed light on the exceptionally pampered lives led by Queen Elizabeth II's corgis. According to his memoir, "Spare," the royal corgis routinely accompanied the Queen in her private lift for nightly excursions to her bedroom.

Beyond their elevated travel arrangements, these cherished pets were accustomed to a life of luxury. They dined on meals prepared by a personal chef, and their bedding was refreshed daily. Princess Diana reportedly described the dogs around the Queen as a "moving carpet."

After the Queen's death in 2022, her corgis were given to her son, Prince Andrew, and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. This decision was influenced by their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who had originally gifted two of the dogs to their grandmother. The princesses reportedly presented Muick and Sandy to the Queen in 2021 to provide comfort during Prince Philip's hospitalization.

Sarah Ferguson has expressed a sense of spiritual connection with the dogs, believing the Queen communicates through them. "I have her dogs. I have her corgis. So every morning they come in and go, you know 'woof woof' and all that. I'm sure it's her talking to me," she stated.

While there was initial uncertainty about the corgis' current location following Prince Andrew's relocation within the Sandringham Estate, Buckingham Palace confirmed they would "remain with the family." The dogs have since been observed on the estate, indicating Andrew continues to care for them.
