The Montreal-based drama "Getting Under Your Skin" is making its debut this week on TV5 Quebec, with production already confirmed for a second season. This eight-part series centers on Gaspard, a teenage fan of crime shows, who becomes entangled with a young undercover police officer investigating a drug-dealing network.
The sophomore season is set to explore more mature and unsettling themes. Creator Boulerice plans to place Gaspard, now in CEGEP, into a toxic situation involving a juvenile prostitution ring. This new arc will also see the return of Thomas, the undercover officer, re-engaging with clandestine work.
Directed by Éric Piccoli, who is returning for Season 2, the series is noted for its unique blend of coming-of-age narrative and crime drama. This hybrid approach aims to create a compelling emotional connection with the audience as the story progresses into darker territories.
