Pussycat Dolls Tour Flops: Too Ambitious, Low Sales
13 May
Summary
- Pussycat Dolls tour suffered low ticket sales due to ambitious planning.
- The group is proceeding with European dates after canceling US shows.
- Past controversies and shelved projects affect Nicole Scherzinger.

The Pussycat Dolls' comeback tour has been significantly scaled back, with 32 shows canceled across the U.S. and Canada. Sources indicate the group was "too ambitious" with their planning, booking large arenas without sufficient demand, especially following a 15-year hiatus and only one new single, "Club Song," released in March. Frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger, 47, is reportedly disappointed but focused on rehearsals for the remaining 21 dates, including a June 6 performance at the OutLoud Music Festival in West Hollywood.
The international leg of the tour is set to commence in September, with the group expressing hope that fan videos from the remaining European dates could reignite interest in the American market. This setback follows a pattern of difficulties for Nicole Scherzinger, including her solo album "Her Name Is Nicole" being shelved in 2007 and a previous reunion tour cancellation in 2020.
The reunion has also been marred by internal controversy. The initial announcement of a trio including Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar (51), Melody Thornton, Kimberly Wyatt (44), and Ashley Roberts (44) was met with public criticism from former members Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta (43). Bachar expressed feeling excluded from the decision-making process, while Sutta cited her public support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as a point of contention potentially aligning her with "MAGA."
