The 24th Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) is scheduled to unfold from January 15 to 22, 2026, in Pune. The festival, organized by the Pune Film Foundation and government cultural departments, will prominently highlight Marathi cinema while celebrating luminaries of Indian film and music.
Distinguished figures such as Biswajit Chatterjee and Farida Jalal are set to receive the prestigious PIFF Distinguished Award. Additionally, composer and violinist Amar Haldipur will be honored with the SD Burman International Award for music, recognizing his significant contributions.
The festival will feature a competitive section for seven Marathi films, evaluated by an international jury, and a parallel showcase titled 'Marathi Cinema Today' presenting four additional titles. The opening ceremony is planned for the E-Square multiplex.
