Propagate Content, led by Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens, has significantly expanded its unscripted library through a recent acquisition from UK producer Monster Films. The deal encompasses four distinct series, focusing on true crime and historical mysteries.
This acquisition includes Sky History's 'The Real X-Files,' which investigates decades of classified paranormal government files, and 'Almost Perfect Murders,' detailing British cases where killers were apprehended after committing seemingly impossible crimes. Also acquired are 'The Secret World of Forensics,' highlighting scientific breakthroughs in murder investigations, and BBC's 'Dark Land: The Hunt for a Killer,' which re-examines over 100 unsolved murders in Wales.
Daniel Thunell, Head of International at Propagate, noted that these series offer unique perspectives on true crime and the unexplained, aligning with Propagate's focus on premium, character-driven storytelling for international markets. David Howard and Rik Hall, founders of Monster Films, expressed their optimism regarding the partnership, believing Propagate is ideally positioned to distribute these shows.
