Priyanka Chopra, Ishaan Khatter Shine at Gold Gala 2026

The Gold Gala 2026, held at the Music Center in downtown Los Angeles, celebrated prominent figures in global culture. This year, Indian actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Ishaan Khatter were among those recognized. Priyanka Chopra Jonas was presented with a special onstage award. Her recognition highlights her significant contributions to culture and her role in global representation. Gold House CEO Bing Chen noted that Chopra embodies the breaking down of old notions that Indian narratives need translation to achieve global reach. Ishaan Khatter earned a spot on the Gold100 New Gold list, an acknowledgment of emerging changemakers who are influencing global culture. Chen emphasized that artists like Khatter represent a new era of storytelling, moving fluidly across cultures while maintaining specificity. This generation is actively defining the direction of global culture without seeking permission. The Gold Gala, informally known as the Asian Met Gala, is an annual event dedicated to honoring the 100 most impactful Asian Pacific changemakers. Honorees are recognized for their influence in culture, business, sports, and entertainment.
