Bollywood Failed to Utilize Priyanka Chopra

Producer Shailendra Singh has critically assessed Bollywood's handling of Priyanka Chopra's career, stating the industry failed to leverage her global potential. He lamented that Chopra, whom he described as a "firecracker of a woman," should have been a primary brand ambassador for Indian cinema but was instead "treated so badly" that she relocated to the United States.

Singh highlighted Chopra's subsequent sustained visibility and success in Hollywood as evidence of her capability to represent Indian cinema internationally. He also drew significant parallels between Chopra and fellow superstar Shah Rukh Khan, emphasizing their shared "no nonsense attitude" towards their careers and business dealings. Both, he remarked, are supremely talented and managed their careers identically, suggesting they possess the qualities to globally represent the industry.

In contrast to Chopra's international trajectory, Singh suggested that Bollywood did not value her adequately, prompting her departure. He questioned the industry's leadership, asking who truly serves as its voice, pointing to individuals like Karan Johar but questioning if that adequately represents the entire industry.
