Director Slams Rumors of Akshay-Tabu Fallout

Filmmaker Priyadarshan has categorically dismissed speculation regarding a disagreement between actors Akshay Kumar and Tabu over alleged scene deletions in their recent film, 'Bhooth Bangla'. Priyadarshan, who directed the movie, stated that Tabu is content and has not expressed any dissatisfaction. He emphasized that he, as the director, makes all editing decisions and that any scenes filmed by Tabu are indeed included in the final cut. The director further clarified that Akshay Kumar was not involved in the editing process and made no requests for changes. 'Bhooth Bangla,' released on April 17, 2026, reunites Priyadarshan with Akshay Kumar, Tabu, and Paresh Rawal. The film, supported by Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films, has garnered box office success through positive word-of-mouth, overcoming mixed critical reception. It also features a notable appearance by veteran actor Asrani and is one of his final on-screen performances.
