A new docuseries, working titled "Diana: The Unheard Truth," will bring Princess Diana's life story to light through five hours of secret recordings made in 1991. These tapes, captured by Diana with her friend Dr. James Colthurst, detail the breakdown of her marriage. Less than an hour of these recordings has been publicly released until now.
The production team has secured full access to the tapes, promising a "revelatory" series. Diana's candid discussions reportedly include her bulimia diagnosis, thoughts on her sons, Princes William and Harry, and even her own suicide attempts. She also discusses in-laws Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
Contributors to the series include Diana's prep schoolmate Delissa Needham, hairdresser Sam McKnight, astrologer Penny Thornton, and journalist Richard Kay. Former bodyguard Ken Wharfe and royal press secretary Dickie Arbiter are also providing insights. The series is slated for release next August, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of her death in a Paris car accident.
