Prince's extensive vault is yielding new treasures with the release of the career-spanning compilation album, Timeless. This collection features 10 rare recordings, including the previously unheard "I Am You," a track from 1977 that offers a glimpse into the 19-year-old Prince's burgeoning Minneapolis Sound. The album also includes early versions of songs like "Tick, Tick, Bang" and fan favorite "Heaven."
Compilation producers are carefully curating Paisley Park's reported 8,000-song vault to celebrate Prince's creativity and legacy. Further releases are planned, including deluxe editions of Parade and Musicology, and a remastered version of 3121. Additionally, a Broadway adaptation of Purple Rain is slated for spring 2027. The album concludes with a poignant live rendition of "How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore," recorded at Prince's final concert on April 14, 2016. The estate aims to honor Prince's artistic vision by sharing music that challenged norms and brought people together.
