William Embraces Change, Hopes to Create Better Future for Prince George

As of October 3rd, 2025, Prince William, the 43-year-old Duke of Cambridge, has opened up about his eldest son Prince George's potential future as the King of England. In an interview, William tells broadcaster Levy that the prospect of his son one day becoming the monarch is "an interesting question, and it's a big question."

William emphasizes that he wants to "create a world in which my son is proud of what we do, a world and a job that actually does impact people's lives for the better." However, he also acknowledges that he hopes to avoid some of the practices that he and his younger brother, Prince Harry, had to grow up with, stating, "I'll do everything I can to make sure we don't regress in that situation."

Furthermore, William expresses that "change is on my agenda" and that he "embraces" and "enjoys" the idea of bringing about positive changes, though not overly radical ones. He says, "That's the bit that excites me, is the idea of being able to bring some change."

Despite this, William and Harry's relationship remains strained, with the brothers' rift becoming public in 2020 when Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped back from their royal duties. The divide has only deepened since then, with Harry's recent tell-all memoir, "Spare," further exacerbating the situation.
