Prime Video's YA Obsession Retreat in Alps

Prime Video recently convened a gathering of its popular Young Adult (YA) series talent in the Bavarian Alps for an event dubbed the 'Obsessed Retreat'. Held from September 7-8, this campus-style retreat took place in Germany, the home country of the widely acclaimed series 'Maxton Hall - The World Between Us'.

The two-day event included exclusive screenings of titles such as 'Love Hypothesis', 'Maxton Hall - The World Between Us', and 'Perfect Liars'. Attendees were also treated to first-look images from upcoming productions, including 'Boys of Tommen' and 'Our Fault: London', the concluding part of an adaptation based on Mercedes Ron's trilogy.

Nicole Clemens, VP and Head of International Originals at Amazon MGM Studios, expressed excitement about this new wave of content. She highlighted that the upcoming slate is significantly led by non-English language International Originals. Clemens believes these stories, rooted in local cultures but with universal themes, are poised for global breakout success.
