In a thrilling development, actor Colin Farrell has signed on to star in the action-thriller "Ordained," based on an upcoming comic book from publisher Bad Idea. The project has also attracted the attention of the Russo Brothers' AGBO banner, which has come on board to produce.
The story follows Father Royston Craig, a former Navy SEAL who became a priest later in life. After performing last rites on a dying Irish mafia boss, Cormac Byrne, the priest is shocked when the mobster miraculously recovers and puts a hit on him to silence him. Father Roy must now use his old combat skills to survive the onslaught of gangsters and corrupt cops, all while staying true to his oath not to kill.
The "Ordained" comic book, written by Robert Venditti with art by Trevor Hairsine and Dave Stewart, is set to debut next month on December 10th. "John Wick" writer Derek Kolstad has penned the script for the film adaptation, which is currently being shopped around to multiple studios and streamers.
With the involvement of the acclaimed Russo Brothers and the charismatic Colin Farrell in the lead role, "Ordained" promises to be a thrilling and action-packed cinematic experience for audiences.
