Premeditated Productions has inked a five-year extension for its film and television deal with Amazon MGM Studios, extending their partnership through the summer of 2032. This move underscores a highly productive relationship between the two entities.
Launched in 2024 as an extension of Entangled Publishing, Premeditated Productions has already established over a dozen projects at Amazon MGM. These include adaptations of bestsellers such as 'Shield of Sparrows,' 'Dragon Cursed,' and 'A Stage Set for Villains.'
The company is also developing the anticipated adaptation of Rebecca Yarros' 'Fourth Wing' for Amazon MGM, alongside other television projects like Jennifer L. Armentrout's 'Lux' series and Liz Tomforde's 'Windy City' series.
Beyond existing literary works, Premeditated is concurrently developing new film and television concepts based on forthcoming titles from Entangled. This demonstrates a forward-looking strategy to expand the literary worlds into global media.
Amazon MGM Studios' Head of Global IP Acquisitions, Lauren O'Connor, praised Premeditated's "remarkable pipeline of stories," citing their blend of creativity and audience resonance. CEO Liz Pelletier emphasized the opportunity to bring authors' global-reaching stories to a wider audience while preserving their integrity.
