Preeti Jhangiani Reflects on Breakout Role in Mohabbatein

In 2025, Preeti Jhangiani, who made her Bollywood debut with Mohabbatein in 2000, looks back on the film that launched her career and the valuable lessons she learned from sharing screen space with two of the industry's biggest names.

Best known for her roles in films like Awara Paagal Deewana, LOC Kargil, and Sajna Ve Sajna, Preeti became a familiar face in the early 2000s with her understated performances and calm on-screen presence. Recalling her early days, Preeti says that Mohabbatein was more than just a launchpad - it was an opportunity to observe legends at work. "Working with Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan taught me the real meaning of stardom," she explains, adding that their humility, discipline, and respect towards their craft and co-actors truly define their greatness.

After Mohabbatein, Preeti went on to explore diverse roles across Hindi, Telugu, and Punjabi films, gradually expanding her repertoire beyond the romantic image she was known for. Reflecting on this shift, she says, "I have always believed in taking up roles that resonate with me at different stages of life.
