Director Dan Trachtenberg, known for revitalizing the Predator franchise with "Prey," is developing a new film inspired by Disney's "Sleeping Beauty." This original concept will offer a fresh perspective on the classic fairy tale.
The project, currently in its early stages, is distinct from the "Maleficent" film series. Trachtenberg, Raya McClendon, Alex Anfanger, and Dan Schimpf developed the story, with Anfanger and Schimpf writing the script.
Trachtenberg, who has a successful track record with Disney and Hulu, will produce alongside Michelle Rejwan and Ben Rosenblatt. This collaboration follows his critical and commercial success with "Prey" and other Predator entries.
Anfanger and Schimpf are also known for co-creating the Comedy Central series "Big Time In Hollywood, FL." Trachtenberg is currently engaged in pre-production for another undisclosed project at Paramount.
