He admitted that the increasing attention and career growth led him to allow his judgment to be clouded, resulting in self-centered and wrong actions. Shah recognized that he operated out of insecurity and a misguided yearning for validation, failing to acknowledge the power associated with his privilege and influence.

The controversy significantly impacted his professional commitments. Notably, filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan omitted Shah's name from promotional posts for 'Homebound,' drawing attention. Additionally, Shah was removed from an upcoming Sourav Ganguly biopic directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. Responding to the situation, 'Homebound' producers Dharma Productions clarified that Shah was a freelancer with limited engagement and that their Internal Committee received no complaints against him during his tenure.
