Pratik Gandhi Shares His Love for Garba and Navratri Celebrations

Pratik Gandhi, the acclaimed Bollywood actor, is eagerly looking forward to the Navratri festivities this year. In the past few weeks, he has been busy attending three prestigious film festivals abroad, including the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the India Film Festival of Alberta (IFFA), and the Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF).

Despite his hectic schedule, Pratik is excited to be back in Mumbai and experience the vibrant energy of the Navratri celebrations. He fondly recalls his childhood memories of playing garba in his hometown of Surat, where he and his group of 25 friends would visit multiple venues every day, dancing until the early hours of the morning.

Pratik's love for garba music is evident as he shares his personal favorites, including "Gori Radha Ne Kalo Kaan" from his film "Wrong Side Raju" and the songs from the movie "Hellaro," especially "Vaagyo Re Dhol." He also has a deep appreciation for the garba compositions of Falguni Pathak, Bhoomi Trivedi, and Aditya Gadhvi, having grown up listening to their music.

Although the recent heavy rains in Mumbai have impacted some garba venues, Pratik is determined to find time to play garba with his friends, even if it means hosting a gathering at his own home. He believes that the true essence of the festival lies in the positive energy and vibrant atmosphere that surrounds it, which he hopes to experience fully this year.
