Ramanujan's Secret: Actor Prajesh Kashyap on 'Mardaani 3' Deception

Actor Prajesh Kashyap, who plays the antagonist Ramanujan in the recently released 'Mardaani 3,' has offered a glimpse into the challenges of his role. He shared that maintaining the secrecy of his involvement in the film for several months was a significant hurdle.

Kashyap described how he would respond to inquiries from friends, family, and colleagues with vague yet optimistic statements, suggesting that new projects were in the pipeline for the following year. This approach helped manage expectations while preserving the surprise of his character's appearance.

To further enhance his portrayal of Ramanujan, Kashyap committed to rigorous preparation. He consciously avoided taking on other acting roles to ensure his presence in 'Mardaani 3' felt entirely fresh and impactful, particularly for an antagonist whose identity was meant to be concealed.

Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, 'Mardaani 3' follows officer Shivani Shivaji Roy as she investigates the disappearance of young girls, uncovering a large-scale trafficking network. The film features Rani Mukerji in the lead role, alongside Prajesh Kashyap, Janki Bodiwala, and Jisshu Sengupta.
