Witches are Back: Practical Magic 2 Arrives!

The beloved witch sisters, Sally and Gillian Owens, are returning to the screen in "Practical Magic 2," with stars Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock reprising their iconic roles. The sequel continues the story of the Owens family curse, which historically leads to the untimely death of any man who falls in love with an Owens woman.

"Practical Magic 2" will center on the sisters' efforts to break this long-standing curse for the benefit of Sally's daughters, Antonia and Kylie. Both Kidman and Bullock expressed great enthusiasm for their return, describing the experience as "coming home" and emphasizing the magical connection they felt stepping back into their characters' shoes.

The sequel's existence is largely due to persistent fan demand, with actresses recounting how audiences actively requested its creation. The actresses found it easy to slip back into their roles, noting that it felt as though no time had passed since the original film.

"Practical Magic 2" is a Warner Bros. production, and it is expected to be available for streaming on HBO Max. This decision stems from Warner Bros. Discovery owning the platform. The film's streaming debut is anticipated between November 19 and December 9, approximately 70 to 90 days after its theatrical release, aligning with Warner Bros.' typical streaming schedule for new movies.

While HBO Max will be the initial streaming home for "Practical Magic 2," there's a possibility it could later be available on Netflix in 2027, as some Warner Bros. titles have followed this path. However, for the immediate future, audiences can enjoy the witchy sequel in theaters.
