18 Oct
Summary
- Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film 'Spirit' now set for October 29, 2027 release.
- The action thriller's release date was moved from March 5, 2027, to the Diwali window.
- This new date may lead to a box-office clash with Ramayana Part 2.
The upcoming film 'Spirit,' a collaboration between actor Prabhas and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has a new worldwide release date of October 29, 2027. This action thriller was previously scheduled to premiere on March 5, 2027, but has been postponed to align with the major Diwali festival. The film features Prabhas in the lead role as an IPS officer, alongside Triptii Dimri, Vivek Oberoi, and Aishwarya Desai.
This revised October 29, 2027 release date means 'Spirit' could enter a competitive Diwali box-office landscape. Potential competition may arise from 'Ramayana Part 2,' the second part of Nitesh Tiwari's mythological epic, which also targets a Diwali 2027 slot. The film was initially announced on October 23, 2025, Prabhas' birthday, with a teaser titled 'One Bad Habit' hinting at an intense police officer narrative.
