17 Jan
Summary
- The Raja Saab faced a significant downfall post-Sankranti holidays.
- Day 8 collections were an estimated 3.5 crores, with a 36.36% drop.
- With a 400 crore budget, it recovered only 33.44%, heading for ~60% deficit.

Prabhas' recent release, The Raja Saab, has experienced a significant box office failure in India, failing to meet high expectations. The horror-comedy, which Prabhas starred in following the success of Kalki 2898 AD, initially showed promise but quickly declined.
By the end of the Sankranti holidays, the film faced a deficit exceeding 60%. On its eighth day, it garnered an estimated 3.5 crores, a 36.36% decrease from the previous day, with holiday releases in Telugu states partially mitigating a steeper drop. The movie has accumulated approximately 133.75 crores net in India.
With a reported budget of 400 crores, The Raja Saab's current earnings represent only a 33.44% recovery. The film is projected to conclude its theatrical run with a deficit around 60%, though it narrowly avoids becoming Prabhas's biggest financial flop, a distinction still held by Radhe Shyam.
