Dominic Rains, formerly of Chicago Med, has been cast in a recurring role on "Power: Origins," the latest expansion of the "Power" Universe. The series is actively in production in New York and New Jersey. This prequel is described as a lighter, more energetic exploration, focusing on the ambition of young men striving for legendary status.
"Power: Origins" centers on the early lives of James "Ghost" St. James and Tommy Egan, portrayed by Spence Moore II and Charlie Mann respectively. Mekai Curtis reprises his role as Kanan Stark, continuing from "Raising Kanan." Rains will play Detective Fred Drexel, assigned to a complex NYPD investigation.
The cast also features Jason Dirden, Jennifer Ferrin, Lizzy DeClement, Lenny Platt, Armani Gabriel, and Everett Osborne. Recurring cast members include Kelly McCreary, Hill Harper, Nadia Dajani, Damon Gupton, and Tonya Pinkins.
