Community Spirit Rebuilds Beloved Pottery Studio

A pottery studio, a vibrant hub for creativity and connection for three decades, was devastated by an electrical fire in May. The blaze consumed the 18th-century building, leaving nothing behind. However, the spirit of the studio and its community proved resilient.

Remarkably, within days of the fire, loyal students and friends transformed a disused barn into a temporary studio. They provided essential equipment like pottery wheels and kilns, ensuring that the classes could resume with minimal interruption.

Now, seven months later, the studio is reopening in a renovated barn, offering an expanded space, a new kiln room, and improved facilities. This remarkable recovery is a testament to the hard work of its owner and the unwavering support of her family, friends, and the wider pottery community.
