Old Guard Games in Milwaukee received an unexpected visitor when rapper Post Malone stopped by on June 26. The store, located near the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus, specializes in miniatures and tabletop gaming supplies. General manager Josh Lowerre recounted that Malone called ahead inquiring about a Magic: The Gathering product before arriving.
During his visit, Post Malone spent between 20 to 40 minutes at the store. He purchased deck boxes and collector boxes from the Marvel Super Heroes Magic: The Gathering set. Malone is a known figure in the Magic: The Gathering community, notably purchasing a rare "The One Ring" card for $2 million in 2023.
Lowerre described Malone as a "really, really cool guy" and "down to earth." The employees reportedly treated him like a regular customer, maintaining professionalism. Post Malone also signed two Magic: The Gathering cards for employees and posed for a photo with Lowerre. The rapper was slated to headline Summerfest on June 27.
