Actress Pooja Hegde recently disclosed that her entry into the film industry was entirely unplanned. During the trailer launch for David Dhawan's forthcoming rom-com, "Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai," Hegde shared that she never envisioned a career in acting. She explained her background, stating, "I come from a very academically driven family, and nobody in my family has worked even closely in films."
Writer Rumi Jaffery, who has known Hegde since her school days, recalled predicting her future in cinema. He mentioned telling her parents that she was destined to become a heroine. Hegde acknowledged this, admitting she was initially hesitant when encouraged to pursue films.
Hegde has since established herself in both Bollywood and the South Indian film industry. Her upcoming movie, "Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai," is a family comedy entertainer. The film, also starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and others, is produced by Ramesh Taurani and is scheduled for release on June 5. The trailer was unveiled on May 23.
