Former "Call Her Daddy" co-host Sofia Franklyn is releasing her memoir, "Daddy Issues," in November, promising to share her perspective on the highly publicized fallout with Alex Cooper.
The memoir's release has reportedly unsettled Cooper, who now hosts the podcast solo and has built it into a multi-million dollar empire. A source close to Cooper claims she feels "betrayed" and views Franklyn's book as an act of "revenge" and "clout" chasing.
Franklyn announced the memoir on February 25, revealing a cover image that conspicuously removes Cooper's face, a symbolic representation of their fractured relationship. The book's publisher describes it as a story of "power, friendship, reclamation, and surviving yourself."
The public separation between Cooper and Franklyn occurred in 2020, stemming from disputes over contract renegotiations with Barstool Sports. Cooper eventually signed a new deal independently, leading to her solo hosting of "Call Her Daddy."
Cooper has since secured lucrative deals with Spotify and SiriusXM, establishing a significant media presence. Despite her success, she is reportedly concerned that Franklyn's memoir could negatively alter public perception and alienate her "Daddy Gang" fanbase.
Meanwhile, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy has publicly criticized the memoir, calling it "fiction" and "lies," while also promoting his own upcoming book.
