The Plymouth Center for the Arts will celebrate the debut of its new sculpture garden on June 20 with a special fundraising event. This garden is envisioned as a serene green space within downtown Plymouth, intended to provide a tranquil atmosphere for visitors.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the garden is designed to function as a versatile event rental space, crucial for generating revenue to support the center's ongoing initiatives. Planning for this project commenced in 2023, initiated by a significant anonymous donation and further bolstered by contributions from the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism and the Town of Plymouth Promotions Fund.
The garden's seasonal sculpture exhibition, featuring works by twelve regional artists, began on June 11. The upcoming fundraiser, scheduled from 6-9 p.m. at 11 North St., promises an evening of enjoyment with catering by The Chef's Table, oysters from Island Creek Oysters, and live jazz by The Ed Lucie Jazz Trio. Proceeds will directly fund exhibitions, educational programs, and operational costs for the arts center.
