Plosivs: Supergroup Unleashes Sonic Fury on New Album

Plosivs, a supergroup comprising seasoned musicians from bands like Drive Like Jehu and Pinback, has released their highly anticipated second album, YELL AT CLOUD. This release sees the San Diego collective delving into modern gloom, characterized by haunting imagery and aggressive riffs, yet punctuated by moments of unexpected hope.

The band, whose members have extensive histories in notable acts, approaches their music with a sense of playful ambition. Their name itself is a humorous nod to potential future breakups. This project serves as an outlet for creative rejuvenation, deliberately distancing itself from external pressures and expectations.

YELL AT CLOUD builds upon the energy of their debut, offering a sound that is both youthful and audaciously aggressive. Tracks like "Death Kicks In" showcase barbed guitar melodies and precise, forceful drumming, underscored by grounding basslines that create a compelling sonic tapestry.
