Platino Awards Xcaret: Film & TV's Big Night

The 13th Platino Awards Xcaret are set to take place on May 9 at the Gran Tlachco Theater in Mexico's Riviera Maya. This significant event will honor the best of Ibero-American film and television. The nominations reveal a strong field, with Dolores Fonzi's 'Belén' and Alauda Ruiz de Azúa's 'Los Domingos' leading the film categories with 11 nominations each.

In television, the series 'The Eternaut' from Argentina has secured the most nominations with 13, closely followed by the Spanish series 'The Anatomy of a Moment' with 12. This marks the return of the awards to Mexico after a year in Madrid, Spain, with the ceremony broadcast across the Americas.

Several prominent actors have received nominations for their performances. Álvaro Morte, Javier Cámara, Leonardo Sbaraglia, and Ricardo Darín are nominated for best male performance in a TV series, while Candela Peña, Carla Quílez, Griselda Siciliani, and Paulina Gaitán are recognized in the best female performance category for TV series. Supporting acting nods also feature notable talent like Álvaro Cervantes, Edgar Ramírez, Juan Minujín, Rodrigo Santoro, Camila Pláate, Julieta Cardinali, Dira Paes, and Nagore Aranburu.
