On November 4, 2025, the highly anticipated film "Hello Betty" will premiere, shedding light on the untold story of Emmi Creola, the visionary Swiss advertising pioneer who created the iconic culinary figure Betty Bossi in 1956.
The film, directed by Pierre Monnard, portrays Creola's journey as she navigates the challenges of ambition, creativity, and the limitations of a male-dominated society. What began as a clever marketing idea for a Swiss food brand ultimately became a cultural phenomenon, shaping the way an entire nation cooked and viewed modern domesticity.
"Hello Betty" stars Sarah Spale in the lead role, bringing Creola's story to life on the big screen. The film has been acquired for worldwide distribution, including in Germany and Austria, by the Berlin-based sales company Picture Tree Intl. It is set to be released nationwide across all language regions of Switzerland starting November 20, 2025, through Ascot Elite Entertainment.
"Everyone in Switzerland knows Betty Bossi," says producer Peter Reichenbach of C-Films. "This film finally tells the story of the brilliant woman behind the name. It's a story with humor, heart, and universal resonance."
