She was widely respected for her ability to maintain narrative coherence on challenging projects, including Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Synecdoche, New York.
Cybulski's expertise was not limited to her on-set work, as she also authored the book Beyond Continuity: Script Supervising for the Modern Filmmaker, which is considered the industry standard for her profession. In the book, she described the script supervisor's role as being the "storyteller" who carries "a living, growing movie in our imagination."
