Pinocchio's Wild Ride: A Musical Adventure

Shakespeare's Globe is currently staging a vibrant new musical adaptation of Carlo Collodi's classic tale, "Pinocchio." This production, penned by Charlie Josephine and Jim Fortune, reimagines the story for a modern family audience, trading the novel's darker elements for heartwarming lessons and infectious humor. The narrative follows Geppetto's creation of a puppet who embarks on a journey not just to become a boy, but to understand what it truly means to be human.

The 14-strong cast, under Sean Holmes's meticulous direction, delivers a full-tilt performance, bringing to life the various characters Pinocchio encounters. Standout performances include Kerry Frampton and Lucy McCormick as the devious Fox and Cat, and Steven Webb's memorable turns as Giacomo Cricket and the Coachman.
